Zsolt Szalóczy
Zsolt Szalóczy is a physicist, researcher, and entrepreneur, and recipient of the Gábor Dénes Award. He earned his physics degree at Eötvös Loránd University and an Executive MBA from Purdue University, Indiana, USA. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Pannonia’s Doctoral School of Environmental Sciences. His research explores the interconnections of economic, social, and natural systems through the processes of energy transformation. He considers it his mission to raise awareness of the deepening risks of polycrisis and the urgent need for individual and organisational preparedness. As an entrepreneur, he develops adaptation solutions for individuals, communities, and businesses. He is co-founder and lead of the Cassandra Program, supporting individual and organisational adaptation; co-organiser of the World Adaptation Forum conference series; and co-editor of the Day After Tomorrow book series.
Balázs Stumpf-Biró
Balázs Stumpf-Biró is co-founder of the Cassandra Program, which identifies the impacts of climate change and systemic collapse and supports practical processes of adaptation. He is host and co-organiser of the World Adaptation Forum, fostering international dialogue and cooperation on global adaptation challenges, and co-editor of the Day After Tomorrow book series, which presents future social and ecological issues in an accessible yet deeply interconnected way. He represents the Deep Adaptation movement in Hungary, focusing on mental and community preparedness, and is creator of the Betyáros Világ podcast, dedicated to mindset change and open thinking. He studied at the University of Szeged, Semmelweis University, and Corvinus University of Budapest. He is currently a doctoral researcher at the University of Pannonia’s Doctoral School of Environmental Sciences, studying the unfolding dynamics of global polycrisis.
